The commune of Port-d'Envaux is located in the centre of the department of Charente-Maritime, in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in the former province of Saintonge. At the heart of the Atlantic arc, it is an integral part of the French Grand Sud-Ouest, and is also included in the Grand Ouest.
Located northwest of Saintes, the commune of Port-d'Envaux is bordered by the river Charente entirely on its left side.
Every year for the past twenty years, artists have been welcomed in this old quarry to let their imagination run wild. Each year, new works are born, sculpted directly into the walls of this former quarry of Chabossières located in Port d'Envaux, near saintes, whose stone was once used to build many buildings including the Fort-Boyard, off Oléron.
